RollStretch side-lying release for neck and jaw muscles

In today's video, Liv shows you how to use a ball to reduce the tension in sternocleidomastoid (SCM) and the scalenes, and other non-named side neck muscles.

The anterior and medial scalenes create the "Thoracic Outlet", which is where the term "Thoracic Outlet Syndrome" comes from. This part of the body is a powerful site of nerve impingement for many people. If you know you have TOS, or TOCS, use a softer ball to begin, and move really slowly, so you can assess the effects. This is a RollStretch technique.
